LESSONS
Dave Cardoza - Piano/Keyboard/Organ
Music has been Dave’s passion since he began
playing piano at age six. Wanting to soak up every bit of music
knowledge he could, Dave played trumpet in grade school. At age 11, he
began private lessons for the organ, and took nearly every music class
available at the time at Ohlone College. During his twenties, he
studied privately with Don Haas, conductor of the Circle Star Theater
Orchestra and Professor at San Jose State University. He has enjoyed
teaching private lessons at Allegro for over thirty years, and
performed professionally for years. Dave is well-versed in all types
of music and has vast knowledge of not only acoustic piano and organ,
but the evolution of electronic music, composition, and keyboard
technology.
"There is something
to be learned from all types of music. I believe music is a form of
art that should not be treated as a competitive sport. My students are
allowed to advance at their own pace, and are able to choose their
favorite songs to learn while following along with a lesson plan. Most
importantly music should be fun!"
